In addition to their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), the Paris Agreement invited countries to submit long term low GHG emissions development strategies (LT-LEDS) by 2020. These strategies will provide countries with the opportunity to address three pressing and interrelated policy areas; ambitious GHG mitigation, adaptation and climate resilient development.
